10th Annual General Meeting

I attended the 10th AGM though this was my first. About 24 members attended the meeting. Based on the minutes record, we now have 61 members. I am the member # 060.

The AGM was held at the Naning 3 Room of Hotel Seri Malaysia, Ayer Keroh.

We had reelected all the committee members unanimously excuding one who did not present and replaced by Al Fathil Ustaz Othman Maksum. The Office Bearers remain. We have all the generations in the committee.

Chairman: Tuan Haji Ishak bin Ahmat
Vice-Chairman: Mr. Chan Soon Thai
Secretary: Mr. Michael Chiam Sing Huat
Treasurer: Mr. Desmond Koh Yen Jer

Committee Members:
1. Encik Chahuri bin Saidin
2. Mr. Pang Kwe Yen
3. Encik Md. Noh bin Baba
4. Mr. Tai Jee Kau
5. Encik Zakariah bin Dorani
6. Mr. Kay Oon Wee
7. Ustaz Othman bin Maksum

Auditor:
1. Encik Adlee bin Abu Bakar
2. Encik Mohd Nazaran bin Ani

This club has no age barrier. The youngest one is 67 and the much younger one is just 33.

Many issues were discussed amicably and positively. We would like to have more activities. We would like to have more members to join the club.

My proposal in the AGM is to have our own blog so that more young people and the one young-at-heart to join our club.

So guys, this blog is dedicated to all of you for your kind devotion to this club for the past 10 years.

There was also a Lucky Draw Session after the meeting. The best part is everyone is the winner. Thanks to our Mr. Treasurer who had sponsored the prizes. Our Treasurer owns a spare parts shop and members were given special discounts.

After the meeting, we adjourned for hi-tea with the families.

Then there was convoy to the Eye of Malaysia, the new Malacca landmark. It was officiated by the Governor of Malacca on 7 November 2008.

I will post the photos later.
